Digital English Tunisia 2015 4.0 : Teaching and Learning English with today’s technology
The British Council is pleased to announce the Digital English Tunisia 2015 4.0: Teaching and Learning English with today’s technology.
The first round of Digital English Tunisia took place 21 March 2015 at Hotel Africa, Tunis, and attracted 200 educators. The second round took place 17 May 2015 at Hotel Golden Tulip, Sfax, with 236 educators attending and the third round took place 10 November 2015 at the Higher Institute of Applied Languages and Informatics of Beja (ISLAIB), and hosted more than 200 English teachers and students and presenters from Tunisia and the UK.
This fourth edition of the one day seminar comes as well as a follow up to the Maghreb Digital Learning and Education Innovation Conference and will bring together English Language practitioners working in all educational sectors, from Tunisia and the UK.
This free-access seminar comprising of up to 7 plenaries and workshops will take place in the in the Regional Centre of Education and Continuing Training of Medenine (CREFOC).The workshops will be delivered by local Tunisian speakers as well as a speaker from the United Kingdom, namely: Pete Sharma, "Lecturer and teacher trainer, specialised in technology-enhanced language learning."
The Teaching and Learning English with today’s technology seminar aims to provide access to current innovation teaching and learning English with today’s technologies to help improve the quality of Language teaching and learning in Tunisia it will:
- Provide insights on the current and potential use of Technology in ELT
- Provide a platform for sharing local and international best practice in digital and online ELT
- Connect current and future digital educators in Tunisia and the United Kingdom
- Stimulate ideas for digital learning related to ELT in Tunisia based on local context.
- Create a successful model to be replicated in other regions of the country and potentially the wider Maghreb region
