We are pleased to announce the serious games barcamp which will take place at the Institut Supérieur des Arts Multimédia de la Manouba on 23 April 2015.

This event is jointly organized by l’Institut de la Francophonie pour l’Ingénierie de la Connaissance et la Formation à Distance (IFIC), the British Council, and ISAMM (Institut Supérieur des Arts Multimédia de la Manouba).

Around 30 participants from various fields of culture, commerce and pedagogy will discover the benefits of integrating serious games technology into their field.

The aims of the barcamp are:

  • To spread awareness of the barcamp format as a way of exchanging ideas and encouraging active reflection over passive participation.
  • To introduce higher education professionals, researchers and other professionals to this exciting area of ICT and e-learning. The theme is particularly relevant for those working to investigate effective pedagogical models in an ever-more connected and technological society.
  • Promote the design and use of serious games in education.

Please note that participants have been selected and this not an open event.
